The werewolves of New Orleans run the financial district of the city. This is important for the supernatural community as the profits from these corporation are funneled into campaign donations to ensure that the right humans are elected. The right humans being ones who know when to turn a blind eye and how to conduct a cover up when supernaturals go to far. Werewolves being naturally competitive and aggressive are well suited for the dog eat dog world of stock trading. Of course for those who need something a bit more physical to work out their aggression the city provides underground fight clubs where they can flex their muscles. ‘Werewolves’ are not actually limited to just wolf form, they are actually general animal lycanthropes. Generally however the word lycanthrope is considered a pejorative term, and even those who do not actually take on a wolf form refer to themselves as werewolves, or were-<whatever>.
